The Starbucks that is part of the Sheraton Hotel located on Broad Street is a jewel of the downtown area few students know about.
Because the establishment is part of the Sheraton Hotel, access to the free WiFi every Starbucks provides is easier to use.
Whenever I have tried to use it at other locations, I have had to buy a gift card and register my computer.
However, I have never been able to figure it out. At the Broad Street location, all you do is ask the employees for a code, type it in when you pull up your browser and you are good to go.
The easy access to WiFi makes the coffee shop a fantastic location for evening study sessions. I have gone there several times and studied for tests there with a group of my friends.
It is relatively quiet, filled with comfortable seating and of course has an endless supply of caffeine.
The baristas have never been anything but friendly. They also provide excellent and quick service, even when there are several customers waiting in line to order.
There is always a wide variety of pastries and other foods that compliment espresso drinks, no matter what time of the day it is. I have gone to other locations and there have only been two or three options.
The Broad Street Starbucks also offers a 10 percent discount to students who show their student ID.
The only downside to this establishment is the fact it closes at 9 p.m. whereas most Starbucks locations do not close until 10 p.m. during the week.
