Heidi Montag, 23 year-old reality TV star, told Entertainment Weekly that she is "excited for the world to see a whole new Heidi."

According to a new issue of People, part of the "new Heidi" consisted of 10 plastic surgeries on Nov. 20. These surgeries included fat injections in her cheeks and lips, butt augmentation, liposuction on her neck, waist and thighs, chin reduction and having her ears pinned back.

Montag underwent her first procedures, rhinoplasty and a breast augmentation, in 2007, but apparently the new look intrigued her. She told People her obsession with plastic surgery is only to help her achieve the best version of herself.

Montag said her dream is to be a pop star and her looks matter in the industry.

Montag released her appropriately titled debut album, "Superficial" in January. She said she independently made the album and admitted the price tag has broken her. Montag also said "Superficial" will be held on a pedestal with Michael Jackson's best-selling album, "Thriller."

"The songs will make an impact on pop history," Montag told an Entertainment Weekly reporter.

With song titles like "Look How I'm Doin'" and "My Parade," Montag's lyrics are equally as cheap and narcissistic, with a failing attempt at sex appeal. Montag's high expectations of her album are amusing and a bit insulting to Jackson.

Montag's first music video for her single, "Higher," comprised of her running and splashing in the ocean "Baywatch" style, climbing on rocks and chasing seagulls. I would assume this foreshadows what is in store for her future videos.

Montag recently experienced her first live performance at the Miss Universe pageant. Her choreography, lip-syncing and outfit mirrored that of female pop stars 10 years ago. As if Montag needs to demonstrate anymore notable talent, she and her husband, Spencer Pratt, have written a book, "How to be Famous."

Pop culture, whether we like it or not, is American culture. Pop music is depicted by Michael Jackson, Madonna, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and most recently, Lady Gaga, to name a few. Montag was correct when she said looks matter in the industry, but pop music is much more than that.

Pop music is creativity- creativity in choreography, lyrics, wardrobe and image, but most importantly it is creativity in the performance. I do not believe Heidi Montag will ever fall into this category.

Sorry, Montag, but you need to stick to reality television.
