The campus crime log is a weekly feature of the University Echo and is compiled from UTC Police reports to keep students aware of incidents on campus. Reports are listed in chronological order.
October 6, 2009
09-1357 An officer responded to a drug narcotic offense at 818 University St. A security officer told the police officer he responded to a local fire alarm from within an apartment.
There was no response at the apartment door. While the officers were waiting for the resident assistant to open the door, activity was heard within the room, and the patio door slammed shut. The apartment was empty when the officers entered.
In one of the bedrooms, suspected marijuana residue was found on a pillow and suspected marijuana and paper sleeves were found in the trash can. The report was referred to student development.

09-1367 An officer responded to an indecent exposure complaint that occurred at 693 East 5th St. Police spoke with an adult who stated several of the female players of the basketball team had been flashed by an unknown white male driving a white vehicle without tags.
He stated the incident had occurred at least four times during daytime hours, mainly in the area of the ARC, McKenzie Arena and UC. Police have been on the lookout for this unknown person after similar reports from other female students.

09-1394 Officers responded to liquor law violations at 801 East 8th St. The officers met a security officer and resident assistant at an apartment.
The security officer told the police he watched a male leave the apartment carrying a 12-pack of beer.
He advised the male to stop, but the male dropped the 12-pack and ran to the elevator. By the time the security officer got to the elevator, the male was gone.
The security officer called for police to meet him at the apartment. When officers arrived, they knocked and announced their presence.
No one opened the door, but talking and movement could be heard inside. After the resident assistant returned with keys, and several individuals were found hidden in the bedrooms and closets. In total, four residents and three non-students were present. All parties were underage and had been drinking. Three 12-packs of beer were found in the apartment.
09-1402 An officer responded to an alcohol violation at 700 Vine St.
A non-student was drinking beer inside the library, and he resisted arrest when the officer approached. He was put into a patrol car and began to kick at the doors and windows.
Police transported him to Hamilton County Jail.
