Members of the Student Government Association at UTC are sponsoring and co-sponsoring several events across campus in the coming weeks including a Coffee House Open Mic Night at Campus Crossroads Oct. 14.

This event, co-sponsored by the Association for Campus Entertainment, will be from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m., and is open to all students who wish to share their various talents or view the displays by their fellow students.

ACE and SGA will also host Frightfest on campus Oct. 30 and 31. Activities will include a movie and a scavenger hunt.

The next UTC Mocs home football game will be Oct. 31. Admission to the game will be free for any person bringing in three canned food items to be donated to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.

There will also be a Trunk or Treat event hosted by several organizations. The floor of the McKenzie Arena will be relocated so that the Mocs Blue and Gold basketball game will be held before the game in the First Tennessee Pavilion.

The SGA Senate passed a bill allocating $650 to fund a bus trip to the UTC versus Samford football game in Birmingham, Ala. The 13 students who committed to going on the trip will pay $10 of the $50 price, so SGA will be reimbursed $130 of this allocation.
