Rembrandt's coffee house, located on High Street just minutes away from campus, is the perfect place to sit back, relax, satisfy your sweet tooth and read a little Dickinson while drinking a cup of the best coffee Chattanooga has to offer.
I accidentally stumbled upon the coffee shop about a year ago while on my way to Coolidge Park, and since then, I have been one of their biggest fans. With a wide variety of treats, including fruit tarts, brownies, raspberry swirl cheesecake, chocolate éclairs, chocolate chip cookies and a number of fresh breads and a huge selection of pastries, the cute little coffee shop has something to fit a number of taste buds.
Whether you feel daring or just in the mood to walk on the sweet side, the little house's assortment of coffee will surely add some honey to your jar. Highlander grogg, chocolate indulgence, and southern pecan are just a few of the selections Rembrandt's offers everyday.
Rembrandt's is the closest thing to a delightful European café you can get in Chattanooga.
Menu items range from hot tea to Espresso Con Panni, French toast to fulfilling hot breakfast sandwiches, green tea smoothies to Reese's cup frappes, garden salads, spinach salads, soups, fruit bowls and an array of sandwiches and wraps. Prices begin around $1.50 with nothing on the entire menu surpassing $8.50.
Inside the charming French stucco, the mood is mellow, but a bit hectic at times. You have the option of sitting outside or dining in. Outside, the view is simply majestic.
Rembrandt's coffee house is the place to be whether its an after date spot, or an everyday coffee fill-up. The cute little coffee shop is the perfect blend of contemporary, mixed with a dash of timeless European style.
