Senate approved referendum to the spring SGA ballot consisting of changes to the Student Government Constitution.

In the referendum, the position of student body projects chairperson is up for elimination. It was previously decided the position may be unnecessary.

The referendum also asks students to approve the elimination of the SGA entertainment committee in favor of one SGA senator who acts as liaison between SGA and the association for campus entertainment.

SGA president, Scott Stuart, a Maryville, Tenn., senior said with the referendum, the money previously allocated to SGA's entertainment committee will instead be given to the association for campus entertainment.

SGA will in turn have oversight of association for campus entertainment's budget.

Stuart said this change will better serve students because the association for campus entertainments's entire function is to focus on entertainment whereas SGA's primary function is to advocate for student needs and interest.
